LaTroy Hawkins faced one of the best clutch hitters in the majors, and came through for the Baltimore Orioles.
Hawkins pitched two innings of scoreless relief and Miguel Tejada had four hits as the Orioles used a three-run 10th inning to beat the Texas Rangers 7-4 on Wednesday night.
Hawkins (3-2) gave up two hits and threw a wild pitch in the ninth, but retired Michael Young on a flyout to keep the game tied at 4 with runners on second and third and two outs. Young began the night batting .390 with runners in scoring position, tied for second in the AL.
"I've been pretty good in those situations, too," Hawkins said. "No doubt he's a good hitter. I was able to get him to swing at my pitch."

Sounds like Hawkins has his confidence back. Also in the game, Jay Gibbons had an RBI single and Nick Markakis set a team rookie record with his 9th home run in August. What do you guys think of this Baltimore victory?
