Re: Erik Bedard

According to this story, "Erik Bedard will try for his first victory in over a month when he takes the ball for Baltimore today." He's 0-3 with a 4.15 ERA over his last four starts, and his last victory came back on July 23 against the Devil Rays. Lost Sunday, Toronto pounded Bedard for five earned runs (seven total) in five innings. So what the heck's wrong with the 27-year-old Canadian lefty? Or is it just a lack of run support more than anything else?

Re: Erik Bedard

The Orioles have a decent batters even though they lack a real source of power. Miguel Tejada has popped 22 balls over the fence so far this year, but Melvin Mora has only smashed 13. Ramon Hernandez has hit decently this year and Corey Patterson is instant-speed.

What is the deal with Erik Bedard? I think we have to give him a little bit more time before he is ready to handle the big leagues.
