Well, as it appears now, he is the most talked about position prospect potentially on the move this weekend. One of the teams most interested is the Houston Astros who are reportedly being urged by Roger Clemens to go get him.

Sports: "Miguel Tejada asked the Baltimore Orioles not to trade him, and while it seems unlikely the O's would deal their best hitter, three teams remain in hot pursuit for the shortstop – the Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros – the Washington Post reports. The Angels would part with starter Ervin Santana, shortstop Erick Aybar and possibly a third player. The Dodgers appear to be prepared to send one of their shortstops (Rafael Furcal or Cesar Izturis) along with one or two prospects."

Tejadas should take the Astro. Tailor made ball park for his hitting. Anyone remember him in the home run derby there a few years ago?

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports the Orioles will not trade Tejada today. If anything, he could be moved during the off-season.

Talk about a bad move in signing with Baltimore if you're Tejada.

With the O's request for Tejada to move to third, he may be on the move. However, the Sporting News says, "Because Tejada still has two years and $26 million left on his contract, trading him would be difficult."

That's definitely a lot of money for an aging guy whose defense is suspect. Any idea which teams would be interested?

You know it's getting to the point where hearing about Miguel Tejada's predicaments is about as interesting as hearing about Brett Favre's and Roger Clemen's retirement.

This isn't being reported anywhere, but the Angels have been rumored to be one of the top teams chasing Tejada.

That would be a good fit...and I am sure Tejadas still has a lot of West Coast ties...but I have not heard of anything.

Why is Ervin Santana included in just about every trade I hear about. Are teams getting him confused with another Santana. I have not seen him pitch well enough to be this sought after.

I've heard Cardinals,Giants,Dodgers, & Angels. I believe things will start rolling when Cabrera lands.

Also I speculate Mcphail might try to package Bedard with Tejada & pluck 4 or 5 players from a team like the Dodgers.

I think I'd take Santana from the Angels so long as he is just a add on & probably send them Daniel Cabrera in that deal

The talk here in Houston is. Tejada for Adam Everett, Luke Scott and one of our young pitching prospects.
