Brian Roberts of the Baltimore Orioles has confessed to steroid use.

According to the Associated Press, "In an interview in Tuesday's editions of The (Baltimore) Sun, Roberts acknowledged that he used steroids "once" in 2003. However, he said he hadn't used steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs since... In a statement he issued to The (Baltimore) Sun, Roberts said that after the single injection he immediately realized that it was not what he 'stood for' or anything he wanted to continue doing. He said he's sorry he did it and said he regrets making what he says was a 'terrible decision.'"

So far, the players who have admitted steroid or HGH use claim it was only once or twice and they never did it again.

Again, it's there word against, well you know the saying.

And in terms of public perception, who are you more likely to believe - the guy who said he did it once or twice and that he's sorry, or the guy who vehimently claims he never once did the stuff / refuses to talk about "the past"? I know which way most people would lean.

All they need to do is say, I took it, it was the wrong thing to do, and I'm sorry.

My guess is that for a large majority of sports fans ... they are all guilty. I'm sure at one time or another you've all heard the saying that a girl can't be a little bit pregnant. Same applies here. Either you did it or you didn't do it. If you did it once, you're guilty. If you did it 100 times your guilty. The question that follows is ... what should the individual punishment, if any, should be ??
