Orioles cut Wright & Zambrano

The Baltimore Orioles on Monday released pitchers Jaret Wright and Victor Zambrano.

According to the Associated Press, "Acquired from the New York Yankees in November, Wright was a disaster in Baltimore, posting an 0-3 record with a 6.97 ERA in three starts before going on the disabled list with a strained right shoulder on April 30... In another move that did not pay off, the Orioles acquired Zambrano from Pittsburgh on September 9. The righthander went 0-1 with a 9.49 ERA in five games - two starts - with the team."

Jim Duquette was the guy who dealt Victor Zambrano for Scott Kazmir.

Guess he thought he'd try to strike magic twice.

What a horrible trade that was.
