Cool 1st half Orioles review

The O's are 38-49 and out of both races. They are also having trouble finding anybody who wants to manage this team....It's interesting that they're so awful because they have some young talented pitchers like Bedard and Guthrie.

What do the Orioles need to do to become competitive?

Wow, that's the million dollar question. They need more offense. They need to improve the pen. They could probably use two more starters as well. And a top-notch manager. Other than that, they're in good shape. Seriously, though, they have one of the best young 1-2 punches in the league in Bedard and Guthrie, and it's a darn shame the rest of the club is so abysmal.

What's up with Tejadas...isn't he injured? I have had to scramble to replace him in my GTG lineup.

What's up with Tejada? It's called steroid testing...I have no proof but that's just my opinion.

It's funny - they thought they improved the pen comiong into the season with Bradford, Baez and Williamson.

Re: 1st half Orioles review

I feel bad for the Orioles. They have fielded some fairly good teams in the past, but play in the same division as the Sox and Yanks. Unless they start spending like those teams, they will not ever compete with them.
