| Aubrey Huff hits for cycle Even though the Orioles lost last night, it was a special game for Aubrey Huff. Huff hit for the cycle, getting a second inning triple, a fourth inning doue, a three-run homer in the fifth inning and a single to cap things off in the seventh. "Obviously for me, that's probably one of the most special days of my baseball career," Huff, the first Baltimore player to hit for the cycle since Cal Ripken in 1984, told reporters afterwards. "The triple was my 1,000th hit, the double was my 200th double. The homer, we were lucky enough to get that back from a fan. And the single, I got it back. So I got all four balls. That's going to be a pretty good memento."

e-Bay keeps messing with how they do things...they are a freakin pain...on the upside, I found a niche in cards of players in college uniforms that I can sell for nice big profits...though maintaining the darn thing is a pain...I am an idea man, not a freakin button pusher...I have to get a better life I tell ya.... |

| 2 other O's hit for the Cycle: Cal Ripken, May 6, 1984, vs. Texas Brooks Robinson, July 15, 1960, vs. Chicago Pretty good company. So the next Oriole to hit for the Cycle should be in about 2030....I wounder if I'll still be alive - or if I'm alive, if I'll still be a moderator at GoTeamsGo. |
