It's funny. I was watching the Yanks-Orioles last night and was reminded that Leo Mazzone was their pitching coach.

He doesn't seem like such a genius anymore, huh? He probably wishes he never left Atlanta.

They are coming around though. He has some good young pitchers.

I get what you're saying, but how bad would the O's be without him? As is, they're 13th in baseball with a 4.28 team ERA and they're ranked ninth in baseball with 535 strikeouts. All this with a listed rotation of Bedard, Cabrera, Trachsel, Burres and Guthrie. Looking at that quintet makes me thing that they'd be ranked much, much lower than they are in some of these statistical categories.
