Mercedes-Benz will have a presence in V8 Supercars from 2013, with Stone Brothers Racing and Erebus Motorsport merging to field three cars.

A year in the making, the deal will see the new team on the grid for the first race next year with three AMG E Class V8 Supercars.

those AMGs are awesome in roadracing. It's going to be interesting to see how they do "down under."

This is good news for the series. I hope that Toyota will field a team or two as well. Having new and different manufacturers is not ever a bad thing!
