| Shoulder problem hinders Todd in Auburn quarterback race A sore throwing shoulder is hindering junior college transfer Chris Todd in his effort to stay in the race to be Auburn's starting quarterback. After the spring's first practice in full pads Thursday, offensive coordinator Tony Franklin said the shoulder injury Todd suffered late last season at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College is dramatically reducing his effectiveness. "Chris looks like his arm is really hurting him," Franklin said. "He threw better when he was a freshman in high school than he's throwing right now. He didn't throw until about two weeks ago and he doesn't have anything on the ball at all.
