Tuberville leaving Auburn

Breaking news via ESPNews - Tommy Tuberville is most likely leaving Auburn for Texas A&M, where he will replace the soon-to-be-fired Dennis Franchione as Aggies coach. This comes according to ESPN's Andre Ware. Anyone shocked by this move?

Re: Tuberville leaving Auburn

That is insane. Why would you leave an SEC job like Auburn for a watered down Big 12 job. That's a potential career ruiner if it comes to pass.

It's the exact same move Franchione made. Maybe it's a money thing.

If Tuby Leaves Auburn I just hope they don't bring Terry Bowden "The Munckin" back.

Re: Tuberville leaving Auburn

Hey Lefty. During the LSU game they made a comment about the number of coaches to have coached two SEC teams. Then they said that after this year it may be the first time one has coached at three. Do you know about any coach rumors within the SEC? They seemed to think it involved Tuberville.

The coach who won championships with two SEC teams was Bear Bryant. I didn't get the amswer because at that time I wasnt sure Kentucky was an SEC team

Tuberville won't talk A&M rumors
AUBURN - Texas A&M went into lockdown mode Monday when it denied reports football coach Dennis Franchione had agreed to a buyout, but that may do little to stop speculation the Aggies would make a play for Auburn's Tommy Tuberville.
The Birmingham News has learned Tuberville would be on A&M's short list of replacements for Franchione.
Tuberville said he would not address coaching speculation while preparing for games against Georgia and Alabama. Auburn protocol calls for Tuberville and university President Jay Gogue to review the football program and coaching contracts at the end of the season. The News has previously reported that a contract extension for Tuberville could be an option.
