| AU liberal about being conservative AUBURN -- This is Auburn football, and Tommy Tuberville doesn't care if it provokes yawns or groans. The punishing defense and bland, run-first offense is also producing wins. Tuberville didn't venture far from that formula Saturday night as the Tigers controlled the football for most of their 17-3 victory over Ole Miss at Jordan-Hare Stadium. "We were being conservative, obviously," Tuberville said. "We didn't throw the ball a lot. We felt like we controlled the ball." Auburn (6-3, 4-2 SEC) clinched bowl eligibility and will now enjoy what Tuberville called a much-needed "lull" in the schedule.
