AUBURN - Rod Smith looked at Brandon Cox, and he knew.
The crowd at Reynolds Razorback Stadium was in a frenzy. Arkansas, after being dominated for most of the game, had taken a 7-6 lead. The scoreboard clock showed 1:36 remaining in the game.
"I didn't have any doubt in my mind," said Smith, a junior wide receiver. "We've done it so many times."
Cox, his chin split open by a late hit in the third quarter, calmly called the play. And Auburn was off toward the game-winning field goal. Cox hit Robert Dunn with a 30-yard pass as the Tigers moved 50 yards to the Arkansas 3, where Wes Byrum kicked the game-winning 20-yard field goal with 21 seconds left.
