| See you later? Gators will, AU Florida hasn't forgotten loss last season to Tigers AUBURN - As Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville trotted off the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium, he was not happy. Once-beaten Auburn trailed unbeaten Florida 17-11 at halftime on Oct. 14, 2006. It wasn't the score that had Tuberville scowling. It was his defense. Auburn had gained 221 yards to Florida's 194, but Florida had done it on just 18 snaps, averaging more than 10 yards per play. In the locker room, Tuberville cut loose on the defense. "It wasn't pretty," Tuberville said when it was over. Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp calmly made adjustments and his players responded, putting a fierce rush on quarterback Chris Leak and shutting out Florida in the second half en route to a 27-17 victory. "We didn't look like a very good defensive team in the first half," Tuberville recalled Thursday. "We looked pretty good on offense. Defensively, we didn't even show up. The second half was just totally opposite." See you later? Gators will, AU- al.com
