Type them in Yahoo and you get 1,550 stories, vignettes and casual chatter comparing the two quarterbacks.

It is an interesting phenomenon, and certainly a logical leap, thinking their roles as freshmen would somehow be alike.

As it turns out, there was Tim Tebow, the freshman phenom, bull in the china shop, cult hero and situational quarterback who helped lead Florida to a national title last year. Burns is the freshman at Auburn this year who has been asked to learn much of the offense in a short time, has even started, and is trying to find his way through the Southeastern Conference.

The present and future will meet when Auburn visits No.4 Florida on ESPN in The Swamp.

The comparison between Burns and Tebow was bound to come. Tebow was a freshman last year who occasionally would replace starting quarterback Chris Leak and run over unsuspecting defensive backs.
