| Quarterbacks seeking to make adjustments for Gators-Tigers clash BATON ROUGE -- Auburn Coach Tommy Tuberville is hoping to get more out of quarterback Brandon Cox this week. Florida Coach Urban Meyer is looking for less from his quarterback, Tim Tebow. The two players are headliners for Saturday's high-profile SEC clash when the Tigers travel to Gainesville. For Auburn to repeat its upset of Florida last season -- the national champion Gators' only loss -- Cox will have to pick up where he left off in the second half of last week's victory against New Mexico State. Meyer, meanwhile, doesn't want Tebow carrying the ball 27 times like he did at Ole Miss last week. Cox, a sixth-year senior, split time with freshman Kodi Burns after poor performances in Auburn's first three games. Cox didn't let the semi-demotion drag him down further, completing 13 of 19 passes for 135 yards without an interception. "He's handled it well," Tuberville said. "He's back and improving. Sometimes you need to take a step back before you can go forward. Last weekend, he had an opportunity to watch for a few series and came back in and did a good job for us, got us a win. I think he got his confidence back. He needs to have some people step up around him. It's not just him." Tebow, who is 6 feet 3, 235 pounds, accounted for 427 yards, 166 rushing. He leads the SEC in passing efficiency. But he won't last long carrying the ball that much on a regular basis. Meyer said some of the runs came on called pass plays where Tebow scrambled.
