| Open wide, here come the Aggies Mumme's New Mexico State team will throw at will AUBURN - How much does New Mexico State coach Hal Mumme believe in the forward pass? In three games this season, the Aggies are one pass shy of averaging 50 per game. Quarterback Chase Holbrook is averaging 395.7 passing yards per game and has thrown for 11 touchdowns. Wide receiver Chris Williams has caught 23 passes for 388 yards and seven touchdowns, including nine catches for 221 yards in last Saturday's 29-24 victory over Texas-El Paso.. In four seasons at Kentucky, Mumme produced the three most prolific passing teams in school history. Mumme brings his air show to Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night to take on the reeling Tigers. Kickoff time is set for 6. Auburn (1-2) will try to bounce back against the Aggies (2-1) from back-to-back upset losses to South Florida and Mississippi State. Mumme's offense is like few others. The Aggies don't huddle and run plays at a frantic pace. No Auburn players have seen anything like and probably won't again. Open wide, here come the Aggies- al.com
