| Despite 1-2 start, Tuberville says his Tigers can still be a good football team AUBURN - Two losses in three games, an injury list he rarely acknowledges or the suspension of his starting tailback have not shaken Tommy Tuberville's resolve. "This is going to be a good football team, whether it's this week or four weeks from now," the Auburn coach said Tuesday. The Tigers find themselves in surprising territory heading into Saturday's home game against New Mexico State. The team that started the year ranked 18th in the nation has seen 13 turnovers sap an offense that is last in the Southeastern Conference and 100th in the nation. Auburn has already pulled fifth-year senior quarterback Brandon Cox in favor of Kodi Burns, one of 20 freshmen who have played. Tuberville has shown a willingness to make those kinds of dramatic moves before the season slips away. "We'll make some changes this week. We're not satisfied in a lot of areas where we want to be. We've got a lot of work to do. This team can be much better," he said. Tuberville said "it doesn't get any tougher for a team" that isn't used to losing. The frustrating part?
