| Tigers not ready to panic after another home loss AUBURN - Neither the kid nor the veteran, neither dramatics nor tricks, could save Auburn from itself on another frustrating orange-and-blue college football Saturday. Unheralded Mississippi State went through its quarterback roster, mustered only 41 passing yards, trumped Auburn rookie quarterback sensation Kodi Burns and upset the struggling Tigers 19-14 in front of an announced 82,129 fans in Jordan-Hare Stadium. It was Auburn's second straight home loss after starting the season with promise - and a national ranking. The national ranking is long since gone. Now, at 1-2, the Tigers have to figure out how to get life back in order, before embarking on a murderous road schedule that begins at Florida in two weeks. "We're not going to panic," said coach Tommy Tuberville. "We knew the situation we were in when we started the season. It's not going to be overnight to get it all going in the right direction. "But this hurts, especially a conference game at home. Last week hurt (an overtime loss to South Florida), but this one hurts a lot more." Tigers not ready to panic after another home loss- al.com
