"We had a great practice out here today," he said. "We flew around and made plays. We worked a lot on the kicking game. It's SEC week, and guys are having fun." The Tigers, 1-1 after last Saturday's 26-23 overtime loss to South Florida, play Mississippi State, 1-1, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be the Lincoln Financial SEC Game of the Week. Injury report: Linebacker Tray Blackmon and safety Aairon Savage, both of whom sat out last Saturday's loss with ankle injuries, practiced Wednesday, Tuberville said. He said whether they play or not will be a game time decision. Cornerback Jonathan Wilhite, who left the South Florida game early with a hamstring injury, should play, Tuberville said. Linebacker Merrill Johnson (shoulder) and punter Ryan Shoemaker (elbow) also were injured against South Florida and are not expected to play against Mississippi State. Tuberville on Burns: Tuberville said no final decision has been made on whether freshman quarterback Kodi Burns will play this season. "Blake Field is our backup quarterback," Tuberville said. "We have practiced Kodi with our second team and third team since he's been here just trying to get him ready for possibly a game this year, but also to get him enough snaps this fall in terms of practice to go into spring practice really knowing what he's doing.
