| Auburn's Groves says Cox will turn things around AUBURN - Brandon Cox has a friend and campaign manager in Quentin Groves. Groves, the All-American defensive end and team leader, said Cox, the less-than-perfect quarterback, should be treated with the respect he's earned as Auburn's starter. To suggest otherwise after one loss, Groves said, is laughable. "You can't take one of the best quarterbacks out," Groves said. "He's a proven guy." Cox is 20-6 as a starting quarterback, but is a modest 33-of-65 passing for 394 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions this season. Cox says he hasn't watched SportsCenter or looked on the Internet to know if that equates to fan dissatisfaction. "I haven't let it affect me," Cox said. He should listen to Radio Quentin. Groves said he expects Cox to turn it around in Saturday's home game against Mississippi State. So does coach Tommy Tuberville. "I know Brandon Cox has taken a lot of heat," Tuberville said. "Brandon Cox is our quarterback. He will be our quarterback." AU's Groves says Cox will turn things around- al.com
