| Auburn assistant coach Nall says line showed improvement vs. USF: AUBURN - Auburn assistant coach Hugh Nall said his offensive line's play in last Saturday's overtime loss to South Florida "was definitely an improvement" over its play in a season-opening win over Kansas State. He stayed the course on one subject, however: Center Jason Bosley had the best grade among the offensive linemen for the second straight week. "He's a good, solid player," Nall said. "He gives us a chance to win a game." Nall said true freshman starter Lee Ziemba would have graded well, too, but "had some negative points." New starter Tyronne Green had the third-best grade, Nall said. Mike Berry and King Dunlap were next. Nall said he thought his line responded well when offensive coordinator Al Borges called run plays. "For a period there, Al was calling some run plays back-to-back and I thought we hit a little groove there, and had some surges getting off the ball, getting after people. That was good to see," Nall said. Auburn took its usual day off Monday. The Tigers return to the practice field this morning as they work toward Saturday's 11:30 a.m. game against Mississippi State in Jordan-Hare Stadium. AUBURN- al.com
