The Auburn receivers ran routes and caught passes long after every other player had departed the practice fields Tuesday night.
Receivers coach Greg Knox wanted to send a message, and he believes it was understood.
"We had to stay out there and correct mistakes," Knox said.

The mistakes weren't always because of lack of effort, but lack of concentration: Dropped passes, poor cuts and lazy technique.
"Nobody was concentrating," Knox said. "We were a little more focused today."
The focus comes at a crucial time. Knox said he is beginning to pare down the receiver rotation to six players. He's already picked five, but one spot remains up for grabs.
