Re: Brandon Cox on Manning Award Watch List

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning, and will be presented to the recipient following the holiday bowl season. It is the only quarterback award that takes into consideration the candidates' bowl performances.

Didn't even know the Mannings have an Award named for them...how cool is that...Just to say hey, "That guy won the Manning last year"...you know it's got to be an honor...

Re: Brandon Cox on Manning Award Watch List

Yeah, I'm sure it is. But can Cox win it?

Sure, the numbers look impressive - "Cox, who has a 19-5 career record as a starter, ranks second in Auburn history in passing efficiency (137.90), third in yards per attempt (8.0), fourth in completion percentage (.592), fifth with 33 touchdown passes and sixth in lowest interception percentage (.031), passing yardage (4,879) and pass completions (362)," according to this article - but he and the other Auburn QBs have reportedly been struggling in practice. Not sure I like his chances.
