| Auburn Players In The NFL Recapping how former Auburn football players fared in Week 11 of the 2006 NFL season. Willie Anderson, OT - Cincinnati Bengals Anderson extended his team record in consecutive starts to 106, as he started at right tackle in a 31-16 win over New Orleans. Anderson, who is in his 11th season, helped pave the way for the Bengals' running backs to run for 119 yards against the Saints. Devin Aromashadu, WR - Indianapolis Colts Aromashadu is in his first NFL season with as a member of the Colts' practice squad. Rob Bironas, K - Tennessee Titans Bironas made one 36 yard field goal and four extra point attempts in the Titans' 31-13 win over Tennessee. Bironas is 10-for-13 on the season in field goals and a perfect 15-for-15 in PAT's. Ronnie Brown, RB - Miami Dolphins Brown rushed for two yards on 12 carries in the Dolphins' 24-20 win over Minnesota. Jason Campbell, QB - Washington Redskins Campbell started in his first career NFL game on Sunday against Tampa Bay. He went 19-for-34 for 196 yards, while adding two touchdowns and no interceptions in a 20-17 loss to the Bucs. Campbell is in his second year in the league. Tim Carter, WR - New York Giants Carter started at wide receiver and had two catches for 26 yards in the Giants' 26-10 loss to Jacksonville. He has 13 catches for 179 yards and two scores (one receiving) this season. Karlos Dansby, LB - Arizona Cardinals Dansby recorded three tackles at SAM linebacker in the Cardinals' 17-10 win over Dallas. Dansby, in his third season in the NFL, has 33 tackles and three sacks on the year. Stephen Davis, RB - St. Louis Rams Davis had one rush for four yards in a 15-0 loss to Carolina. He is in his first season with the Rams after spending the past seven seasons in Washington and the last three seasons in Carolina. Davis is the Panthers' all-time leader with 20 rushing touchdowns and stands second with 522 rushing attempts and 2,085 rushing yards. Heath Evans, FB - New England Patriots Evans had one rush for four yards in the Patriots' 35-0 win over Green Bay, while also helping to lead the way for New England's running backs to rush for 122 yards and a score. Evans is in his sixth year in the league. Wayne Gandy, T - Atlanta Falcons Gandy started at left tackle as the Falcons rushed for 104 yards 24-10 loss to Baltimore. Atlanta is averaging a league-leading 189.4 yards/game in 2006. The Falcons have rushed for over 100 yards in each of their 10 games this season, including over 250 in three of them. As he begins his 13th season, Gandy has played in 201 of a potential 202 NFL games, starting 194 of those contests. Chris Gray, G - Seattle Seahawks Gray started at right guard as the Seahawks rushed for 70 yards in a 20-14 loss to San Francisco. Gray's starting streak is at 119 straight games and dates back to the final 10 games of the 1999 season. Roderick Hood, CB - Philadelphia Eagles Hood was not active in the Eagles' 31-13 loss to Tennessee. Hood is in his fourth year in the NFL. T.J. Jackson, DT - Atlanta Falcons Jackson played but did not record any stats in the Falcons' 24-10 loss to Baltimore. He is in his first season with the Falcons. Brandon Jacobs, RB - New York Giants Jacobs rushed for 9 yards on two carries in the Giants' 38-20 loss to Chicago. Jacobs, in his second NFL season, is averaging 4.8 yards/carry in 2006. Jeno James, G - Miami Dolphins James was not active due to a knee injury as the Dolphins defeated Minnesota 24-20. This is James' seventh season in the league, and third in Miami. Rudi Johnson, RB - Cincinnati Bengals Johnson rushed for 111 yards on 27 attempts in Cincinnati's 31-16 win over New Orleans. He ranks fourth in the AFC in total rushing yards with 826 yards and seven scores after 11 weeks. Spencer Johnson, DT - Minnesota Vikings Johnson played but did not record any stats in the Vikings' 24-20 loss to Miami. Johnson is in his third season after coming into the league with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2004. Stanley McClover, DE - Carolina Panthers McClover was not active for the Panthers' 15-0 win over St. Louis. He is in his first NFL season after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Panthers. Marcus McNeill, OT - San Diego Chargers McNneill started at left tackle in the team's 35-27 win over Denver. The Chargers rushed for 125 yards and three scores and lead the AFC with 152.6 yards/game. McNeill was named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for September and is in his first NFL season after being drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Chargers. Anthony Mix, WR - New York Giants Mix is in his first NFL season as a member of the Giants' practice squad. Ben Obomanu, WR - Seattle Seahawks Obomanu is in his first NFL season as a member of the Seahawks' practice squad. He was a seventh round draft pick by Seattle in 2006. Mike Pucillo, C - Washington Redskins Pucillo saw time at center in the Redskins' 20-17 loss to Tampa Bay. He has played in 28 career games, starting 18. Jay Ratliff, DE - Dallas Cowboys Ratliff recorded one tackle, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the team's 21-14 win over previously undefeated Indianapolis. He has 13 tackles, four sacks and three fumble recoveries in 2006 after recording four tackles and one sack in four games last season. Tony Richardson, FB - Minnesota Vikings Richardson was out with a broken thumb and a fractured forearm in the team's 24-20 loss. This marks Richardson's 13th season in the league and third different team after spending the last 11 seasons with Kansas City and coming into the league with Dallas. Carlos Rogers, CB - Washington Redskins Rogers recorded seven tackles and a forced fumble in the Redskins' 20-17 loss to Tampa Bay. Rogers has 55 tackles this season after compiling 46 tackles and two interceptions in 12 games with Washington in 2005. Kendall Simmons, G - Pittsburgh Steelers Simmons started at right guard for the Steelers in a 24-20 win over Cleveland. Steelers' running backs ran for 77 yards and a score in the win. Simmons is in his fifth year in the league. Takeo Spikes, OLB - Buffalo Bills Spikes started at SAM linebacker and totaled two tackles for Buffalo in a 24-21 win over Houston. Spikes is in his ninth season in the NFL and fourth with Buffalo. Dontarrious Thomas, LB - Minnesota Vikings Thomas assisted on a special teams tackle in a 24-20 loss to Miami. He finished last year with 36 tackles and has 29 in 2006, his third season in the league. Reggie Torbor, LB - New York Giants Torbor started at SAM Linebacker, recording seven tackles and two special teams tackles in a 26-10 loss to Jacksonville. He started nine games at SAM linebacker last season, finishing with 34 tackles and one interception. He has 25 tackles and a sack in his third season with the Giants. Cooper Wallace, TE - Tennessee Titans Wallace is in his first NFL season as a member of the Titans' practice squad. Marcus Washington, LB - Washington Redskins Washington had eight tackles and one fumble recovery as the starting SAM Linebacker in the Redskins' 20-17 loss to Tampa Bay. He is in his sixth year in the NFL and has 64 tackles in 2006. Willie Whitehead, DT - New Orleans Saints Whitehead played had one tackle in the Saints' 31-16 loss to Cincinnati. He is in his eighth year in the league. Carnell Williams, RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Williams rushed for 122 on 27 attempts yards in the Bucs' 20-17 win over Washington. He has 619 yards and a touchdown in 10 games this season. Williams finished with 1,178 yards and six touchdowns on 290 carries last season to finish 13th in the league and tops among rookies, earning him the 2005 Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, along with NFL Rookie of the Year by the PFWA in 2005. He was also named Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press. Wow, that's a lot more players in the NFL then what I realized they had. |
