LSU Tigers @ Auburn Tigers

Huge early season battle here between SEC West rivals Auburn and LSU. Kenny Irons and company host the visiting Tigers, led by QB JaMarcus Russell. Both teams are unbeaten and ranked in the top 10, and the winner definitely has the inside track at reaching the conference championship - in fact, the winner of this game has made it to the SEC title game in 5 of the past 6 years. So who wins the 2006 contest?

Re: LSU Tigers @ Auburn Tigers

This should be the best game of the weekend. I'm picking Auburn to win strictly because of the homefield advantage. LSU's defense hasn't allowed a touchdown in their past three games (dating back to last season) but that should end this week.

Im picking LSU, because I don't know why, but I see them catching some sort of lucky fluke play.

Re: LSU Tigers @ Auburn Tigers

Auburn makes a big stop as time runs out, and the Tigers hold on to beat LSU 7-3 in a hard-fought defensive battle. Brandon Cox scored the lone touchdown of the game, a 1-yard TD run in the third quarter. With Notre Dame's loss, does this make the Auburn Tigers the #2 team in the country right now?
