Ilya Kovalchuk on a hot streak

Ilya Kovalchuk is on fire. The Russian sniper has picked up 13 points in the last six games...

As an added bonus he is carrying my GTG Fantasy Hockey team right now...

I still picture heatley and Kovalchuk on the same line together, and heatley is on fire for the Sens right now too.
Too bad they couldn't stay together, they'd be indomitable.

Kovalchuk is having games where he takes 9 or 10 shots on the net...I think Heatley would cut into his shooting...he is only netting 11% of his shots...so if Heatley took away 3 or 4 shots a game from him, his scoring would suffer.

good point. although heatley's not cutting into Spezza or Fisher's good runs.

Spezza is more of a passer...not the gun slinger that the Russian is...Fisher I don't know enough about.
