Hawks' Shelden Williams car jacked before game
Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Hawks second-year forward Shelden Williams fell victim to a car jacking outside of a barber shop on Saturday afternoon. The attack came just hours before the Hawks took on the Charlotte Bobcats at Philips Arena.
Williams was not injured in the attack, but he did have his car stolen. He missed the Hawks' afternoon walk-through practice, but managed to show up an hour before tip-off and was held scoreless in two minutes of action in a 93-84 victory.
Williams did get the license plate of the car of the two men who robbed him, which helped police officers track down the thieves. Douglas County police apprehended the two men as they tried to rob someone else at a local mall.
