So much has happened in the two years since the pursuit and acquisition of guard Joe Johnson tore apart the fabric of the Hawks franchise that skepticism still surrounds the team Billy Knight has assembled.
On the eve of his fourth training camp since completely tearing down and rebuilding the Hawks, the general manager points to a roster stocked with players he handpicked — via draft, free agency and trade — as proof that his blueprint is the one used to craft this team.
