| Re: Falcons 30-1 to win Super Bowl Regardless of those 30-1 odds, though, the author of this piece seems to be pretty high on them. Sounds like he expects Vick to finally adapt to the West Coast offense in year three. Plus, he calls the receiving corps "promising" and notes that, with the addition of John Abraham, "The Falcons now have three of the top 10 sack leaders from the past five years." Would you take this team at 30-1, or is this a sucker bet?

| Re: Falcons 30-1 to win Super Bowl 30 to 1 is a bit extreme. I mean the obvious favorite to win the NFC is the Panthers then debatably the Bears, Cowboys, Redskins, Giants and so on but I would put them somewhere between the 'Boys and Giants on that list. I guess you can put about 5 or 6 AFC teams ahead of them as well. |

| Re: Don't sleep on the Atlanta Falcons and the Iowa State Cyclones Another article handicapping the Falcons chances in 2006 here. "In the NFC South division where each of the four teams is on the upswing, Atlanta appears to be the least appreciated by the experts and the oddsmakers," writes the author. "The schedule is incredibly tough but personnel wise, the Atlanta Falcons are better than the 8-8 team oddsmakers are suggesting." So is this a team that will finish with a winning record, at least? |

| I wouldn't make that bet. I think the Falcons are going to be bad this year. I just found these odds on some website, These odds are "to 100" so this corresponds with the Falcons 30-1. I would take Jacksonville at 28 1/2 to 1. The Bengals at 35 to 1 is pretty good too. In the NFC, I would think about the Eagles at 25-1. I think they're going to bounce back this year. I like Dallas but at only 13-1, I don't think it's a good value.
