Re: Michael Vick

My thread on Vick pretty much summed everything up with an article by a good writer about Micheal Vick's future. Here it is and if we should forgive Vick than be fair and forgive Manson.
It's A Dog's Life: Pitbulls Find Homes While Michael Vick Loses His Fortune

^^ wow, see that's what I've been talking about. People compare this guy to Charles Manson who "murdered" human beings. I understand what Vick did was not right in any sense but you're comparing dogs to human beings now?

Re: Michael Vick

People who fight dogs and Cruelty to animal is not murder like what the Manson family did, but it should carry the same weight as murder itself.

I put Vick and his buddies in the same category as Sex Offender.
It would be no different if Vick put two 16year old kids in a cage together with knifes and bat, and telling them kill or be kill.

Vick didn't get a real sentence, he merely got a slap on the hand(he got a walk in the park sentence because of his celebrity status).
What he should of got was Hard Times (Making big rocks into little ones).

You can take Vick out of Dog Fighting, but you can't take the Dog Fighting out of Vick.
He's a Thug, NFL should have no room for people like him.

For him to pay his debt to society, they should throw him in a cage and go 1 on 1 against Curtis Rampage Jackson.

I'm not so sure it's about forgiveness. It's more about paying your debt to society. Charles Manson is considered mentally unstable and would probably commit the same crime if released. I'd like to believe that Vick is a little more stable mentally. He may well have been lead down that path by others where as Manson was the mastermind of his cult. Big, big difference.

I also agree that it is completely wrong and he should be punished. However, to get this thread back on track, what team do you think he could end up going to if any.

this is ridiculous. That's very sad to hear you would compare a dog to a 16 year old kid and compare a sex offender to Mike Vick. First off, Mike never raped or forced any kids or adult women to have sex with him therefore you can't classify that as a "sex offender", two completely different things. Second, like the poster above me said that Charles Manson is completely different mentally than Mike Vick. Charles Manson ahs a complete different sickness than Mike does and that's pre-meditated "murder" against human beings. It's sad you would compare 2 sixteen year old teenagers to animals. Would you compare your son or daughter to a cat?

Who said anything about comparing a dog to a 16year old kid or Vick to a Sex Offender, I said i put Vick and his buddies in the same Category as Sex Offender, not Classifying, Category as in Very Bad things people do.

Vick didn't Raped woman or Prey on little kids, but he did kill dogs.

If a driver drives 50mph in a 25mph School Zone where children are present, and gets pull-over by a cop, the driver gives a good story, the cop says "You know the Speed Limit but you did it anyway".

Vick bred, trained, put them in a cage together with Killer Instinct, and says he's sorry after being caught.

All those apologies he made doesn't mean Jack-s#*t,
He knew it was Wrong and against the Law, but he did it anyway.

Manson took the lives of human being, Vick took the lives of animals, Manson doing life with No Chance of Parole, Vick got a Walk in the Park Sentence.

OJ robbed a Sports Memorabilia Dealer and will spent the rest of his life in Jail, Vick Kill dogs and got 23 month in jail.
What wrong with that picture.
That Thug should of gotten 10 years.

If he comes back to the NFL, they should take 2/3 of his paycheck and use that money to help animals.

I dont hear many stories about players on the Lions team getting into trouble off the field. (They dont do much on the field but--) Would he be accepted there?
Besides, I think they have a quarterback for the time being. If he doesnt get killed out there first.
How about the Bears?

i think a team that is 0-12 should welcome him with open arms...maybe a winner can get chosey.

Look it at TO in Dallas...if you win, people don't mind ya so much.

I agree people wont mind you so much if you win, but no way is it Culpepper's fault the Lions are 0-12. I still say they have a quarterback.
Vick's skills were diminishing before he went to prison. Now he's been out of the game awhile and you think he would be a better choice than Culpepper?

I like Daunte...he is from UCF...my school...and Kevin Smith is from UCF as well...but why not add Vick?...give Daunte some competition...
