So can the Atlanta Falcons win their division this year?

Vinnie Iyer of the Sporting News doesn't seem to think so: "I really cannot see the Falcons winning their division this year. It is too strong all around, with the Saints on the way up, and the Bucs and Panthers already at an elite level. The only way I see it happening is if Vick stops listening to people around him and just play his game. And considering the type of coach Jim Mora is, I doubt it will happen...."

So what do you think? Do you agree or disagree with Mr. Iyer?

I agree with you Lefty. The competition is too good in that division and their offense sucks. Like you said, they just have to let Vick do his thing. Mora was a terrible hire for the type of QB that Vick is. They should have brought back Air Coryell to coach this squad. He's probably only about 80.

I like the style of old Air Coryell...the game was fun whenhe opened it up like that...The Falcons though look good on the gorund with Running Dunn early, Duckett late and Vick when he is trying not to get killed.

NFC South is no doubt the toughest division in the NFC. Carolina is suppose to be tough,and the Bucs will be real good again. The Falcons must make that 1st game against the Panthers a statement game!!

Some people like to hop on bandwagons at the beginning og the year.. Carolina is the odds on favorite to win the NFC this year. But how many times,does that actually happen. If Vick stays healthy, I think we have an excellent shot. The defens has to step up and and make big plays.. I think if we beat them 24-7 or something like that,it will be a huge statement..
