The Atlanta Falcons named Mike Mularkey the team's new offensive coordinator on Friday. Mularkey brings a vast amount of NFL experience to the Georgia Dome, including two years as the Buffalo Bills head coach and two stints as offensive coordinator, one with the Pittsburgh Steelers ('01-'03) and the other with the Miami Dolphins ('06).

Good hire. I've always liked Mularkey as a coach, from Pittsburgh to even his days on the Buffalo sideline. He'll help the Falcons offense, no doubt.

Falcons have their guy - Mike Smith, the former Jacksonville defensive coordinator. Now they're hiring his staff.
