Atlanta Falcons and the Draft

Ok Falcon fans what should they do come April? I'm thinking the best thing to do is trade down in the first round and get as many 2nd and 3rd round picks as possible.

They don't need to use a # 1 pick for a franchise type player (QB, RB, DB, LB or WR) unless he is a big time OL or DL player. We need starters or near starters and depth.

A high pick for a skill player is not going the get us over the hump. If we use the draft and free agency to build a foundation we can cherry pick skill players next year.

What say you?

It'd be a good move, but so few teams trade down anymore. I don't see it happening.

Which would make the startegy that much more likely to pull off, would it not?
