Rebuilding Falcons piece by piece
QB tops list of needs

Quarterback
This will be the most important forthcoming personnel decision, by far. Will Atlanta try and trade for Donovan McNabb or J.P. Losman? Will it draft and build around Brian Brohm or Matt Ryan? Veteran Chris Redman proved worthy of getting re-signed, at worst as a backup. Joey Harrington and Byron Leftwich are capable backups, although Leftwich could get a shot to start elsewhere.

Re: Rebuilding the Falcons

For sure qb is a top need.
But I am more interested in what you as a fan think are top needs rather than what the link says.
In one other thread, I see you mention HC and GM. what else?

Re: Rebuilding the Falcons

This team is in a shambles. I would draft a QB and try to build around him. They have a very good WR, White, and there are several good RBs to draft this year. I was hoping Atlanta would try to trade for a QB from Cleveland to get your picks, but honestly, I don't think they should give any picks away. I would even try trading down a little to get even more picks.

QB, OL, and kicker. Those are where I believe are the critical needs.

Yep and throw in a DT and another WR. Jenkins is still suspect in my mind. We could probably get another year out of Anderson if we get inside the 30.

Re: Rebuilding the Falcons

A coworker of mine thinks the Falcons will bypass the QB flock this year and that Shock will come back and win the starting job and Redman will be the #2 guy. He thinks the QB flock out there isn't worth a high draft pick and their picks are best used for other players. Anyway maybe they'll pick up Coutu.

Damn I had completly forgotten about Shock That may be the ticket and we can use the draft to build the OL.

Coutu - wonder how high he will go - what a prefect kicker for the dome. The Falcons have a well established pattern of passing on UGA players for some reason so I doubt we will see him kicking in the dome.
