Falcons to interview Jason Garrett

ESPN is reporting that the Atlanta Falcons have been granted permission to interview Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

What do you think - would he be a good hire? Or do they need a veteran coach?

Now we're talking! Garrett is my #1 choice and McDaniels is my #2 choice.

I am getting a little less enthused by Garrett more all the time. Unless you have a high flying offense, he isnt going to be much help.
And I think the Falcons may need a veteran coach.

I agree. With the players on this team, the Falcons need a veteran coach that the players will respect. I have never been a fan of his, but they need a Tom Coughlin type. One that is not afraid to be a disciplinarian, but ownership has to be behind him as well. This team not only needs leadership, it needs strict rules for the players to follow.

Unless one of these candidates that gets interviewed really jumps out to Blank I believe Singletary will get the job. Hope I'm wrong!

Re: Falcons to interview Jason Garrett

Back when Mora was hired I was wanting Lovie Smith. Wonder where the Falcons would be today if they'd listened to me?

One of those great "What if" questions. Maybe it would've been them, not the Bears, in the Super Bowl last year?

Not necessarily last year. But at least at a more competitive level by now.
