Tuna Surprise In Atlanta?

Jay Glazer of FOX reports that the Atlanta Falcons have offered former Giants, Patriots, Jets, and Cowboys coach Bill Parcells the position of "executive vice president."
The move could mean a parting of the ways with President and G.M. Rich McKay.
Per Glazer, the Dolphins also might be interested in the pursuit of Parcells.
We reported after Parcells resigned from the Cowboys that he'd be interested in working as a General Manager come 2008.
The Falcons are currently searching for a new head coach in the wake of Bobby Petrino's surprising resignation.

Parcells coaching style doesn't work anymore, on the other hand he is still a great talent evaluator, a front office job would be good for him.

I don't know about that. If Tony Romo holds that snap last year......He could coach my team.

As a long suffering Falcon fan I'm ready for anything - even Tuna.

He's a great evaluator of talent. I dont think he could coach anymore. I think his health is an issue.

Re: Tuna Surprise In Atlanta?

He rebuilt the Cowboys into what they are today. He's definitely a great talent evaluator. Would not be a bad hire at all.

I would let him coach my team anyday. They will immediately be better through discipline and gameplanning, and his post game interviews are second to none.

Agree. Plus, with luck, he could restore some order there. Although he didn't do so well handling T.O.

Re: Tuna Surprise In Atlanta?

The day of the Big Tuna is over...make room for him in the booth with Madden and let a young guy take his place in the office.

Re: Tuna Surprise In Atlanta?

Blank reminds me of a very naive, first-time out the gate young guy in this business. He comes across as too trusting and "mr nice guy" to an extreme. I'm not sure if this is just him as a person or if it's a carryover from a company (home depot) that prided itself with such an atmosphere, or both, but if he doesn't toughen his backside up and add some bite and cynicism to his resume, he's gonna get caught up in the axle and stay there as the bus runs over him during his NFL ownership.
