| Vick's House Doesn't Sell The guy who bought Mike Vick's canine killing factory for $450,000 did not sell it at an auction on Saturday. The home drew only one bid -- $747,000, which also happens to be its assessed value for tax purposes. The owner wanted at least $1 million, and he thought that the "celebrity factor" would prompt someone to plunk down that kind of money. Wilbur Ray Todd, Jr. put $50,000 into the house to get it ready for the public sale. The improvements included a pole in the front yard with a Falcons flag flying from it. (Eye roll.) Frankly, we're not surprised that no one would offer more than what the land is worth. This isn't Graceland or even Jon Voight's LeBaron. We're talking about a house owned by a notorious criminal who used the place to torture and kill dogs. Why would anyone pay more than the assessed value for a house of horrors? Why would anyone want to pay anything at all for that place? ProFootballTalk.com -- The Best Pro Football Scoop on the Internet |
