Why has Jim Fassell never gotten another chance after the Giants?

I watched almost every game Fassell coached during his tenure with the Giants. He's not great, but he's a good solid coach. And he did take his team to a Super Bowl.

he just seemed like he was total no nonsense ...... he wouldnt be one to take crap from players ........ but he also stated with a lousy team the blame has to be taken first by the head coach .. and the team would respond to it

I think Jason Garret is the guy the Falcons need, he help fix the issues they have on offense, other guys I would look into would be Marty Schottenheimer and the Josh McDaniels
