| Vick has chance to avoid jail cell "There is a realistic possibility that Michael Vick may never see the inside of a prison cell," according to federal sentencing specialist and veteran federal criminal defense attorney Patrick A. Mullin. "In reviewing Michael Vick's plea agreement, a great deal of attention has been placed on Vick's anticipated cooperation with federal authorities, and that brings with it the potential of a much lighter sentence. In fact, if Vick provides substantial assistance, the plea agreement stipulates that the government can request a reduced sentence, which, if granted, may result in no prison time at all. This gives him a major incentive to work with the government to build cases against major players in dog fighting," Mullin said. -- Law Firm of Patrick A. | Re: Vick has chance to avoid jail cell On Access last night, that lawyer dude from the NFL said there was no chance of a reduced sentence for Vick. Also, the judge is supposedly a dog owner. If he rats on the other players who are involved in dogfighting, then maybe he will need to take a long trip somewhere. I dont think it would be too safe for him here, much less in the NFL

| Re: Vick has chance to avoid jail cell From PFT GARDNER GONE FROM K.C. On Monday, a first-round pick from the 2001 draft saw his career suffer a major blow after pleading guilty to federal conspiracy charges relating to dog fighting. I wonder how many more are involved. Mort from ESPN implied as many as 4 or 5 per NFL team may be involved. Could this turn into "Dog Gate" |
