seems youre not getting the entire point here

Vick is not in trouble because he killed 8 dogs

he is in trouble because he brutally killed 8 dogs .... he fought dogs ...... he illegally gambled on dog fights .... he transported dogs across state lines for the purpose of dog fighting

if he simply put down 8 dogs (as you seem to think is the only bad thing here) it would not be so bad

bottom line here is, he broke the law ..... it's really that simple ...... dont hate the gov. for enforcing the law, if you dont like it fight to have it changed

We dont have the whole story on peta, besides the petakillsanimals.com website, what actually valid sources do you have? And even if its true then the people who have broken laws will be punished, peta didnt send vick to jail, vick sent vick to jail.. On a brighter note, Joey Harrington seems to be coming along just fine.. maybe vick leaving the team will be good..

Atl Streets I'm not a huge fan of PETA but you are painting with a very large brush when you blame PETA for the actions of a few (two apparently)

Using your logic I can make an argument as follows. Vick is a member of the Atlanta Falcons - Vick killed dogs - the Atlanta Falcons are dog killers too. Heck why stop - the Atlanta Falcons are members of the NFL - the NFL kills dogs.

I know you are in pain, the all caps responses are a pretty good indicator, but Vick did this to himself. The Falcons will be fine without Vick - chill out and enjoy Dunn, Norwood, Joey, Horn, Crumpler, White, Jenkins, Brookings, Coleman etc.

well after what i seen at the preseason game between joey and chris R sorry a$$ qb, i atleast thought dj would be good. but hell he is out for the season! i dont see the falcons doing chit this year!

Very, very fine line there. Had Vick brought one of the damaged dogs then yes they probably would have "killed" it. The important point is that the dogs didn't get that way on their own accord nor were they unintentionally injured. Had they not been put in a pit and forced to fight for their lives then the ones that were "KILLED" would have had no need to be put down (AKA KILLED).

I agree that you are looking at an issue that has zero to do with what Vick has done. He broke laws and the 2 others broke laws. The issue now is what price should be paid for these killings.

Michael Vick didn't just drink and drive or get caught with drugs or guns...he was apparently the leader of a dog fighting ring. He trained several dogs to fight and when they wouldn't perform well, he killed them.

Not to mention the whole gambling aspect which the NFL is interested in.

What Vick did was disgusting and intolerable.

Personally, I don't understand how anyone can defend him.
