| Michael Vick Offered One Year Lawyers representing Michael Vick on federal dogfighting charges are trying to negotiate a plea agreement that would include less than the year of prison time that prosecutors have offered, ESPN learned on Tuesday. A source also said that Vick's attorneys have recommended that the embattled quarterback accept a deal if it includes less than a year of jail time, he has not decided whether to fight the charges. Vick's situation became more tenous on Monday night when two more co-defendants decided to cooperate with the government. Purnell Peace and Quanis Phillips are scheduled to appear in federal court in Richmond on Friday to accept plea agreements. That clears them to testify against Vick. A source close to the investigation told Naqi that Vick has until Friday to make up his mind whether to accept a plea agreement. Otherwise a superseding indictment will be filed and Vick will face at least two more federal dogfighting charges. ESPN - Source: Vick lawyers seeking less than year in jail - NFL

| Re: Michael Vick Offered One Year I would think his career in the NFL is done unless he can somehow accept the blame but look like an innocent bystander at the same time. CFL here he comes or maybe Arena football. |

| Re: Michael Vick Offered One Year One year - two years - it makes little difference. The big question is who would take a QB that has limited passing skills, no leadership qualities and minimal intellegence. Perhaps he could catch on as a wide out or some type of hybred player - get him out in space and get him the ball - he will never make it as an NFL QB. JMHO |

Ouch! Unfortunately, you're pretty much on the head. Do I think he would get another chance in the NFL especially if he only serves a year? (Which is no where near long enough) Yes he would. Any longer and people might tend to forget about him. He is a flashy player, so in a year someone would take him. |
