Facing federal dogfighting charges, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was offered a plea deal and has until Friday to decide whether or not he will accept it, ESPN reported Monday.

Vick’s attorneys met with federal prosecutor Michael Gill and investigators Monday afternoon and plan to discuss the quarterback’s options with him, sources told ESPN.

This report comes on the same day that Vick’s co-defendants, Purnell Peace and Quanis Phillips will be in court for their plea agreement hearings on Thursday and Friday. Another co-defendant, Tony Taylor, has agreed to fully cooperate with investigators.

well, i hope he takes a plea and does at least a year in jail ...... also, i hope this brings out anyone else involved ..... they need to make Vick earn his plea

Vick is done either way so if he is smart he will take the plea but i hope he courts so get more time in jail.

Wonder what all of the Vick apologist will say if he does cop a plea?

I can hear them now - he is really innocent and his former buddies turned on him to avoid long term jail or the white system took him down or ..........

Vick may have salvaged something if he had come clean in the beginning and offered a few million to PETA and the Human Scociety but he thought he was above it all and could blame family and friends. Seems family and friends saw Vick hanging it on them and joined forces. What a bunch of finger pointing dumbasses.
