With the Michael Vick investigation into dogfighting charges ongoing, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference has announced that they plan to honor Vick at their ongoing convention. In fact, to quote SCLC president Charles Steele, "We will recognize him and honor him in terms of first of all being an outstanding human being." Wow. Just wow.

what is so freaking annoying is not the fact that people would even think that race is the important part in this whole issue.. I was reading an article on the vick issue and how its now turned into a civil rights scenerio.. WTF?? how does an idiot, black, white, green, or red, get sympathy for what he has done?? I dont care if you are the president, if you do what vick has been accused of, your sick! I hope he rots in He@@, if in fact he had anything to do with this. I would say the same thing if that was my brother. I hope whoever is convicted of these crimes, gets the same treatment that the dogs got. stick em in water, tie them to a fence and electrocute the idiot. Let them see what those dogs went through..

Vick is playing the race card though indirectly if i was white you would not do this do to me. Thanks to all you blacks who have supported me. Memo to Vick its because your a black man in America its because your killing dogs in a dog lover country.

I to this day still KNOW that OJ didnt commit the murders.. this country is supposed to be united.. yet when a black person is involved in a high profile case, it turns to race.. and what is so Ironic, is the people who cry racism, such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, are the racists.. they run and promote the rainbow coalition, the united negro college, and all the other "black" entities.. If we were to have a spanish college fund, or a white college fund, we would be the racists.

Thank you, Bette, for seeing the point. Even if he wasn't a criminal, he's not exactly an altruistic individual. Given that he IS up on such gruesome charges... that makes this all the more bizzare in my book. What are they thinking?

Oh if only I could give my opinion on religion! Anyway despite being innocent until proven guilty anyone with a brain can piece together that Vick was in some way connected with this dogfighting perversity. The man is a true rap gangsta and should and will be tossed in jail.
