Well, I imagine a lot of Falcons fans will feel the same way.

Let's face it - the team is in a tough situation. They can't win. At least half of their fans will be ticked off whichever way they go. By asking Vick to stay away, they're at least going to keep PETA off their backs. I really don't envy Arthur Blank right now. Whatever he does, a lot of people are going to be unhappy with him.

Whatever Vick is a THUG - sure he can run like a rabbit but he passes like one too. I'd rather see Harrington or Shockly taking snaps.

Vick drove me crazy with his crude finger jestures, STD's, water bottle trick, failure to make the Washington appointment etc etc etc. On top of that I loathed see me antics. Seems as if after every run he would lay on the field just to hear the collective gasp of the crowd that he may be injured. Prima Donna comes to mind.

I say get over it and move on - I also say McKay needs to look beyond VT for palyers - can you say birds of a feather flock together.

Put me on the list of Falcon fan.

if you go to espn.com and look at the poll on the front page, you will see out of over 75,000 votes 85% of them think the NFL did the right thing ........... over 2500 people voted in Ga. and 79% of them agree with the NFL

If your perception is that I am uneducated and racist to boot you are absolutely mistaken. My dislike of Vick goes beyond the fact that he happens to be black and is centered more on the fact that he is neither a leader nor a QB likely to take us to the big dance. I have stated elsewhere that I would prefer DJ in lieu of the overrated Mr. Vick anytime. DJ may not have the physical attributes / abilities of Vick but he has shown to be a man of character, a team player with high morals and is a pretty good QB.

I’m sorry you are stuck in the race baiting mode and hope you will eventually see that the near universal opposition to Vick is based on far more than the color of his skin.

It's obvious you're a Vick fan and not a Falcon fan. I don't know you, and I'm not trying to be mean-spirited, but our fanbase will be infinitely better when fans, such as you present yourself to be, are gone. I'm no Vick-hater, and I was very excited to see what Petrino could do for MV's career. That's no longer an option. Vick will never wear a Falcon jersey again. You can blame PETA, Goodell, "whitey", the feds, his buddies, the media,......whatever you want. But the fact still remains that no one put Vick in this mess but VICK. You can debate animal morality, etc 'til you're blue in the face and whether I agree or disagree, the fact remains that the federal government deems such activities to be crimes. End of story.
Why anyone would blindly support an athlete in the face of criminal activity just so their team can have a better shot at winning is beyond me. In case you haven't realized, there are 52 other guys that will be wearing the black and red and playing for the team. I'll support them, just as I have since 1979 when I went to my first Falcon game. Ya know why?
Because I'm a fan of the ATLANTA FALCONS, not just M. Vick.

You are absolutely correct, sir. However, there is no relevance between that right and the situation at hand. You are only presumed innocent in the eyes of the law. This forum is not a court of law. The general public may presume whatever we wish. Vick is now on a paid leave of absence, which hardly breaks any laws. Some people are desperately clinging to the "innocent until proven guilty" right, but once again it has no merit in this situation. There's also something in the Constitution called the First Ammendment, which guarantees that we may discuss this topic, and freely decide for ourselves if we think he's guilty or innocent without fear of repercussion.

If Vick is sent to prison without a trial of his peers, please come back. Then your point would be absolutely valid. Of course, that's not going to happen.

Vick is not going to play this season and that is 110% the right decision. I don't see how anyone (unless your a Vick fan, obviously) could think otherwise.

GreyCoat has a great point, you may be a Vick fan but you're probably not a Falcons fan if you're willing to forget about your team like that.
