FALCONSKUTIEE, this has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Obviously some fans will stay by their team (and the face of their franchise) no matter what, that's expected. But the legal system will run its course and Vick will either go to prison or return to the field (probably in the fall of 08, if as most believe, this case could go to trial as soon as September or October).

this is the very same court that sent Scooter Libby and Ralph Sampson to jail

and if you havent heard ...... Sen. Byrd from WV wants the people responsible for this executed ........ of course that wont happen, but it shows you just how pissed high ranking people are

Sen Byrd is also an former member of the KKK ,who once had a leadership role with the Klan...so...yeah...I am sure he wants people lynched...oops...I mean...executed...yes sir, thanks for getting us back on course here with that bit there Simon....I think Byrd should keep his rather biased views out of the whole affair if you ask me...given his history...what do you think?...

From Vick's standpoint, his lawyers will have to prove (unless they cut a deal) that either a) Vick had no knowledge of what was going on inside the home, b) he was not as heavily involved as they claim he was, c) Vick is being persecuted because of his celebrity.

I really don't know if there are any other real defenses that can help him. But if they have evidence which places him at the scene and testimony from individuals who saw him...it's gonna be tough.
