| Falcons Sign Japanese Reciever How does "Michael Vick to Noriaki Kino****a for the touchdown!" sound? In a move that you would typically expect from baseball teams these days, the Atlanta Falcons signed Japanese wide receiver Noriaki Kino****a to a deal on Thursday. Kino****a has played with the Amsterdam Admirals in the now defunct NFL Europa league. Kino****a ranked fourth in the league in kickoff returns. As a receiver, he had 21 catches for 308 yards and two touchdowns. Kino****a's best season in kick returns came in 2006, when he averaged 27.9 yards per return. Still, at this point however, it would be surprising if Kino****a even lasted past training camp, considering the rarity of success for NFL Europa players in the NFL. | Re: Falcons Sign Japanese Reciever Wow, looks like our automatic content filters don't like Mr. Kinosheeta's name (it's supposed to be spelled with an 'i' instead of 'ee' - you figure it out). Sounds like he will be most valuable as a kick returner. Anyone know what kind of speed the kid has?

Commentary: The book on Kino****a is that he has decent speed and good hands but needs a lot of work on his English. At 5-foot-9, 178 pounds, he's probably too small to crack the team's wideout rotation, but Amsterdam special teams coach Richard Kent, who also coached Dante Hall, gives him high marks as a natural kick returner. Kino****a is the second Japanese-born player signed by Atlanta, the first being TE Nachi Abe in 2000. 404 Not Found - Realfootball365.com |

| Re: Falcons Sign Japanese Reciever It was just a matter of time before the NFL was going to go international. All the other sports are doing it. How much is Goodell loving this with wanting to take the sport internationally too. If Kino can make it big, he will have an immediate fan base for overseas games. Which country will be next?
