What you really need to keep in mind is that no one has been charged. All you are reading and seeing is nothing more than the media twisting you view point. If you allow them to do that you should be ashamed. Right now it is a story that sells TV time and magazines.

Seems to me a couple of things are not what they seem to be - DA's wanting to hang pelts on the wall? This guy is only going through the motions because of the tremendous media scrutiny.

The 2000 fight guy, from what I understand, turned over about ten years ago and has been responsible for multiple convictions during that time.

Like many here I loved Vick the first year - that being said - his behavior over the past two years has left me feeling cold and empty. He is not and I repeat not an NFL QB. He is one of the most gifted atheletes to play in the NFL - possibly a RB or WR that can throw the ball 70 yards.

Still doesn't smell right...10 years ago huh?...and he is still connected enough to get this close?...I am not buying that...the lifespan of a snitch like this (who I doubt has Mensa caliber intelligence) is short...10 years without getting whacked from the guys he gets close to and helps bring in?...I am not buying it...

Nor have I ever seen as aggressive a pursit of anything of this nature...the media being what it is...you would have some kinda report from time to time...

ok i have read through this entire thread and i think i may be glad i was at work while it was going on

do i dislike Vick as a person and a QB ......... yes i do

i suppose i am mostly the one GDK was talking about when referring to the countless other Vick bashing threads here as i probably started most of them ..... and i stand by each and every one of them

now as for the "evidence" in this case, or lack there of ........ i think there is a good bit of evidence at this point against Vick even though most of it may be circumstantial (im no lawyer)

Vick owned the property where this took place

Vick said he is hardly ever at the property yet townsfolk have stated that they have seen him there regularly

Witnesses have stated they have seen Vick in this town buying syringes and supplies used in training dogs to fight

The people living at this house were unemployed and receiving state aid and yet they could afford to care for and feed these dogs where did they get this money if not from Vick ?

All of these upgrades to accommodate the dogs and dog fighting were made to the property and as i stated the people living there had no income

There is a witness that stated his dog fought Vick's dog ......... whether or not we find this witness credible is irrelevant as stated before the authorities believe him and that's what matters

am i leaving anything out ......... maybe so but i think what's here is more then enough to take a serious look at Vick for this, and i challenge anyone here to claim this is all hype and Vick should just be left alone

Simon - that plus all of his past incidents tell me the guy is from a very different culture than me.

I think the Falcons may push the league to do something sooner rather than later so they can move in a positive direction. No need to waste training camp on a guy that will likely miss some or all of the next season. If a suspension isn't in the cards this year they run the risk of having a player that will drive a very large wedge between the two factions of fans.

Sadly the Falcons can't win at this late date - too many people have made up their mind.

So much evidence...so little warrant issued...hmmm...not so clear cut if you ask me

Not so fast...I believe it's not enough...I believe it would have to be enough to a jury of his peers...and not just law enforcement...I also believe there are ways that evidence can and can not be obtained...and there is the issue of the warrant not being given yet...

Then you should read a bit more carefully...my take is that for a crime that doesn't seem to get a very high conviction rate that I am aware of...they (the authorities) seem awfully gungho on this one...why?... because it's Vick...is he guilty?...maybe...is there enough for a conviction without getting so over zealous that half of the evidence is going to be kicked out or shot full of holes by a good defense lawyer?...maybe...Does it reek of witch hunt? (in other words would they go so far out of the way for someone else?)...from here it really, really does...

I was watching the preview for Rambo IV and got carried away...
