Falcons Draft DE Jamaal Anderson

The Atlanta Falcons made Jamaal Anderson, defensive end out of Arkansas the 8th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. The first draft under Coach Petrino is in the books. They needed some help along the defensive line and they have upgraded it in my book.

Good pick with the 8th pick.

Fills a need, with Patrick Kerney gone. Still, I bet they wished they could've traded down.

With the number of players we need a trade down would have helped but who really wanted the # 8 spot?

You build a team in rounds 2 - 5 - the 1st 5 picks are best for the teams in need of that one special player.

Yep, he was pretty darn good for a while. Funny that they wound up with the Arkansas DE, eh?
