Saints Insider - 16 minutes ago
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed second-year quarterback Bryan Randall to its active roster, the team announced Friday.
Randall ( 6-0, 228 ), who attended Virginia Tech, was in the Atlanta Falcons' training camp the past two seasons before being released both years. He then spent time on the Falcons practice squad in 2005 and Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in 2006.

Re: Steelers add QB Randall

Bryan Randall may have been a better runner at Virginia Tech than he was a passer. He's come to the right place to put both of those assets to use.

Randall battle Marcus Vick for the QB spot at Tech...is this kid the right type of passer for the Steeler offense?...is he another Kordell Stewart?

Re: Steelers add QB Randall

He wasn't anything too special for Atlanta, so I doubt he has much of an impact in Pittsburgh, either.
